Jason Miller of Houston NORML was recently accused of carrying “shake” inside his vehicle by Deputy B.A. Collier. What exactly made this cop suspicious? Let’s just say he totally judged a book by its cover. Apparently if you like cannabis, that automatically means you’re an user and carry it on you. To make matters even more embarrassing, what Collier discovered wasn’t even close to being cannabis. Be sure to check out the video below to see Deputy B.A. Collier and his discovery.
Jason Miller had been representing Houston NORML on his Escalade for over a year with no issues until he ran into the deputy, who swore that he saw “shake” on his passenger side floor. Miller had just finished up some shopping when he came outside and noticed Collier peeping inside his vehicle. He even admitted that Miller’s vehicle drew his suspicion, specifically, the stickers that were on it.
It’s about marijuana, and people who like marijuana are most-likely marijuana users, and marijuana is an illegal substance in Texas.
Even though Miller explained that he wasn’t carrying any marijuana, the officer still demanded to search his vehicle without his consent, claiming he had “probable cause”. So, what exactly did Collier find? He found crumbs of Chex Mix, that’s what. The officer claimed that the crumbs looked like “marijuana buds”, talk about embarrassing.
The officer continued to waste Miller’s time by making sure that he had no warrants, even after he just embarrassed himself. Thirty minutes passes and Miller decides to ask the officer if he thinks he’s doing something good for the community. His response was yes, suggesting that marijuana is bad and people have been killed by it. Oh, how misinformed you are, officer. Don’t forget to check out the video below of Deputy B.A. Collier mistaking Chex Mix for cannabis.
Do you think it was ridiculous for the officer to accuse Jason Miller of carrying “marijuana buds”? How would you have reacted? Let us know on social media or in the comments section below.
