Colorado lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow out-of-state residents the opportunity to purchase just as much marijuana as Coloradans are allowed to buy.
Currently those visiting from out of state, are able to purchase up to 7 grams of marijuana substance at a time, while Colorado residents are able to purchase up to 28 grams.
The new bill presented to Colorado lawmakers would make it so that anyone walking into a dispensary, can walk out with the same amount of marijuana “goodies.”
Delphena Siles, the manager of Tumbleweed Dispensary in Parachute says if passed, this bill would generate a lot of tax revenue, along with some happy customers.
“We have to turn down so many customers because they can’t buy the full amount that Colorado residents can buy” said Siles.
The bill was last presented to Colorado lawmakers on April 28. So far it has passed the House and it has made its way to the Senate floor.
